Liberal Mandate Follow-up
Published November 7th, 2008Sometimes you come across something that is far better thought out and better researched than your own opinions. I came across an article like that today in The New Republic. In it, John B. Judis argues that the current Democratic shift in America has been happening for some time and was simply interrupted by 9/11. He claims that this shift may not be a “soft” realignment, but a “hard” one that will last for some time - if Obama can make the right moves. And according to him, those moves are to govern as if he has a mandate. Interesting argument. I don’t know that I agree, but it’s a good read.
