A(n in)significant lull
Published July 25th, 2008July around here has been pretty quiet. Damn quiet. I don’t have much to write about of late. Still single with not much going on in that front - though not for lack of trying. Still doing the same old stuff at work. About the only interesting thing is trying to learn CakePHP. MySQL has been put on the back burner again - I really don’t take failure well, do I? I guess I was lucky to keep motivated for as long as I did. It’s flown the coop now. Looking like 2008 will be a year filled with a lot of failures. Not much going right, not much going at all right now. Doldrums.
Had a flat tire on the way home from work the other day. That was exciting. Or at least, that’s what passes for exciting right now. Been “reconfiguring my social schedule” - I’ll pause for laughter.
Done? OK. Well, I joined a kickball league - what the hell else am I to do with my time? Maybe I’ll meet some cool people and have some fun. We’ll see. First game on Monday.
July is really dragging. And so am I.
