		<description>I would say that when the country is divided into extremes, there's probably more demand for the kind of transparency you're talking about, advocacy journalists like Hannity and Colmes.  When there are a lot of fence-sitters, then there'd be a reason for a culture of journalists with a more aloof professional posture.   That's not all that decides the journalism style, though.  If I were a journalist I would think hard about whether I wanted a possible slump mid-career based on demographic trends.  I would have a right to be transparent or not.  Political journalists are not politicians.</description>
