Sealing the Deal
Published October 24th, 2007With the primary elections fast approaching (and getting faster all the time) I’ve had to try and narrow down who I’m casting my vote for. I’ve already decided against Hilary because of her attitudes towards media and censorship. Kucinich is out because I think he’s insane, and he violates one of my immutable rules: Don’t take orders from aliens. So that pretty much left it to Edwards and Obama. I was leaning towards Edwards because he’s said the right things and acted, for the most part, the right way. Obama was more of a mystery, and I was waiting to see how things went with him. Well, he’s slipped up, big and I will not vote for him in the primaries. So Edwards it is. And I’m perfectly fine with that.
So what did Obama do? He’s sponsoring a concert tour that has a bigoted homophobe on the bill. Someone who believes that gays can be “cured” of their homosexuality. Someone who he himself says is a “cured” gay. Obama responded to the criticism saying he didn’t agree with the man’s views - but will not remove him from the tour. Ooops. Sorry, not good enough. It’s a political tour - if they don’t agree with your politics, why are they there? If Hilary invited the grand dragon of the KKK to play music at her campaign stops, even though she doesn’t agree with his politics, what do you think would happen? This is no different.
Sorry Obama. You struck out. No vote from me-or quite a few other people.

that is why i am voting for kucinich! he is the only one to stick with his heart and not fold into the campaign machine! you can buy a pocket size copy of the constitution and support his campaign at his website www.kucinich.com i did!
j.j.
Sorry, can’t do it. The only thing worse than a President who gets orders directly from God is one that gets them from aliens.
