You have a single blog entry about Lasik and the dentist, and you're also worried about the nail-biting? that can wait until next week or so. The longest I have missed the dentist is about a year. Cavities seem to come by surprise though, not based on how long you've been gone. Hopefully everything will be all right, in a Murphy (of Murphy's Law fame) says "2 out of 3 ain't bad" kind of way.
