Neutropenia
Published June 22nd, 2007Ran out this week, of course, to get the new White Stripes CD, Icky Thump. Which put me in a pretty hard-core White Stripes mood (doesn’t take much, since I just love them). So I poked around my car, saw that I had Elephant, De Stijl and Get Behind Me Satan in there, so I popped those in. I’ve listened to Icky Thump just once so far, it’s not bad. I think the 2nd half of the CD is pretty good, the first half, I dunno. Maybe it’ll grow on me, but it felt a little mediocre. But since I felt like more Stripes, I looked for White Blood Cells. I can’t find it. Not at work, not in the CD case, not in the car. Where the hell did I put it? I also realized I don’t have their self-titled CD. At all. Ever. A gap in my collection. So I may need to plug that soon.
Anyway, a quiet friday night here in the ol’ apartment (thank god for Man vs. Wild and Good Eats!). I’ll write a more thorough collection of Icky Thump thoughts after I’ve listened to it some more. I’m not one to make impulsive decisions, as I was telling someone earlier tonight.
