  • A Voice of Reason

    Published April 6th, 2007

A well written plea for reason on CNN.com today. I myself have often thought this, but given my religious and spiritual leanings, can’t really say it without being perceived as an antagonist.

I couldn’t agree more. Every time there is an election I have the same argument with my parents. To them there issues break down like this: abortion and everything else. It doesn’t even matter if the position up for election has any power over abortion policy.

I also find it odd how the gravity of sins are judged among most Christians. If someone is a liar its not a big deal, but if they’re gay they’re ostracized. Which of those violates the ten commandments again?

Christians, by definition, should be putting more weight on the New Testament…JC himself said the old laws were obsolete, and the only important law was do unto others. So, in the New Testament:
    passages about homosexuality: 0
passages about caring for the less fortunate, the poor, the humble: 6 zillion

What on earth goes on in churches?
