What you gonna do with all that junk?

A valid question that Alanis Morissette answers. I happen to like her. I’ve heard some interviews with her and came away fairly impressed, her songs are catchy and I like her voice. And really, she gets a lot of flack for “Ironic” - and that all the things in the song that are labeled ironic are not. There has always been some question as to whether she realized this or not. I think she did. She’s Canadian, and they have pretty good grammar. Plus, maybe the whole point is that it’s a self-referential song. It is ironic that a song called “Ironic” isn’t ironic at all. Very meta. But many have said Alanis has a bad sense of humor. Maybe her latest cover puts all that to rest. I’ve been slacking on the blog front, I know, mostly from just a lack of time. I have some very lame after-the-fact pictures of the Burbank Fire. Really, just the scorched hillside and a water drop from a helicopter. So I should probably get those up and talk about them. I still haven’t covered the Parker Mesa Hike from 2 weeks ago. And I didn’t mention that I saw one of the cool R2-D2 mailboxes in Burbank. Ok well I just mentioned that then.

Work has calmed down a little, thankfully, and baseball is back. The Cubs have a decent chance of making the playoffs this year, and so do the Angels. But it’s a long season. Only 161 games to go!!

I am making my favorite chili dish tonight. I can’t wait.
