Two Week Collapse
Published March 24th, 2007Bad bad bad bad cephyn. Seriously, my stressful work situation has really bullied me into submission. I’ve been a bad everything lately. My efforts to cook most dinners at home was thwarted this past week - I just didn’t have the energy. So I’ve been a bad money-manager. I’ve been a bad son, didn’t call home enough, and just don’t feel like making the trek out there this week. Next week. I’ve been a bad employee, didn’t get enough done that I should have, but mostly because I was fighting to get things so that I could get stuff done. I haven’t been exercising enough this week. I’ve even been a bad reader of late, it’s taking me forever to read 1215 and I need to finish it so that I can read Jimmy Carter’s book for my book club. I’ve been a bad blogger, not posting enough - and probably not interesting enough. I’ve posted no reviews of anything lately. And I’ve been a bad gamer! I haven’t played GalCiv2 in weeks, the expansion for Oblivion hits this month and I’ve basically installed the game and verified it works - it’s been a year, you’d think I’d have played more of it since I was looking forward to it so much. Baseball is right around the corner, and there’s a new version out - and I haven’t even bought it. I desperately want to, but when will I play it? I’ve been a bad photographer, I haven’t taken shots of anything lately.
At least I haven’t been a bad foodie, since I tried 2 new places for dinner this week. The philly cheesesteak place was a bust, but luckily the sushi place I tried on Thursday rocked. Sushi Dake, I love you. Fantastic eel. And I have independent confirmation that it was pretty darn good, so it’s not just that I’m desperate to find decent food in Burbank!
I think I’m going hiking tomorrow, with a camera, come hell or high water. I’ve got to accomplish something proper. It’s getting ridiculous. I just wish work would let up a little.
You ate eel?! That’s weird, dude! There are no other meats besides cluck, and on occasion, moo.
I have a solution!
Come up to Seattle. It is simple enough; say fuck your job for a bit, we walk every where up here so there is your exercise, tons of good places to eat and drink, and it is Spring so loads of picture perfect opportunities…
incredibly tempting.
Mmmm… I heart sushi.
